I argued with my coach for twenty minutes

Client account, recorded October 2026

The review said my training consistency had dropped in the second quarter. I said it hadn't. I'd been in the building the same number of times, and I said so, with some heat.

My coach pulled up the same page and we went through it line by line. The sessions were the same. The completed sets were down, and the reason, once we looked, was that I'd been cutting the last exercise on most visits without noticing.

Nobody had accused me of anything. The page had just counted what happened, and what happened was different from what I remembered.

Twenty minutes of arguing about a document was better than any session where we both nodded. I'd take the argument every quarter.

Since then I treat the review as something to be disputed rather than accepted, which means I actually read it instead of skimming it while my coach talks.

The other thing it fixed: I no longer trust my own memory about what I've been doing. Memory is generous. The page isn't.

MOJOWAY's reviews are built from what the sessions recorded, which is why they can survive a client saying "that can't be right".
