My husband read it before I did

Client account, recorded October 2026

I left the review on the kitchen table because I wasn't ready to read it. It was a bad quarter. Two months of travel, a shoulder that flared up, and a number that had gone the wrong way for the first time.

He read it while I was putting the kids to bed and then he said, "It says here it's the shoulder, not you."

Which is a strange thing to be grateful for — that a document explained my quarter better than I could.

The page had a line about the flare-up, a note that this was the second time in eighteen months, and a sentence from my coach saying the plan would change and this wasn't a lost quarter. Same paper. Same signature. The honest version, not the flattering one.

If it had only shown the good numbers, he'd have read a brochure and I'd have read a brochure, and neither of us would have believed either.

That's what I didn't expect from a body scan report: that it would be the thing that let my husband be useful instead of worried.

We talked about the shoulder for twenty minutes that night, which is twenty more than we'd managed in the previous six weeks.

MOJOWAY's version of this is that the document stays honest when the quarter is bad, because the coach signs what they actually saw.
