The screenshot that closed a sale

Field note, coaching practice in Melbourne, October 2026

A friend asked her what she was doing at the gym three mornings a week. She could have described the program. Instead she screenshotted the top of her review page: her starting figure, her current figure, and the coach's line about what they'd worked on.

The friend signed up four days later, at a studio forty minutes from her house.

The owner found out because the new client mentioned it at intake: "I saw what it did for her." That's the entire referral mechanism. Not testimonial copy, not a referral bonus, not a case study with a stock photo.

The reason it worked is that it was specific and it was hers. It had a name on it, a date, and a number that changed. Anyone can write "great results". A screenshot of someone's own page is hard to argue with.

What made it possible was that the client had a page worth showing. Most studios hand people a printout of a body composition scan with arrows and no explanation, and nobody ever screenshots that.

Referral programs usually fail because they ask clients to sell. This one asked the client to do nothing except have a document she was proud of.

MOJOWAY's body kit produces a page a client is willing to forward: plain language, their own numbers, signed by the coach.
